Now I don’t feel this video is quite as informative, as it could be, so I will go into some more detail as to some of the other things you can try.
E67 Error- This error commonly happens when the Hard Drive is defective. Unplug, replug it back up and try it… If it still doesn’t work, replace the hardrive (hdd).
E68 Error- You May have a faulty security sector. Your HDD may be fried. (Replace it) This error commonly happens with a defective hard drive, or because of a bad eeprom/security sector.
E69 Error- Defective Hard Drive, Unplug it, Plug it back up. If you still receive this error, replace the hard drive.
So basically unplug it… plug it back in… Or replace it =(
Hey Guys, It’s John Here. And today I want to talk to you a bit about the E64 Error Code. Now this error can take place from trying to flash your dvd-rom’s firmware. And I highly recommend that before you even attempt this, that you fully understand what to do, do it step by step. And make sure you get the DVD key, otherwise you may find yourself with a bricked xbox 360. Add in a Mod-chip, and microsoft is not going to touch your system. So be smart.
Option 1 - Flash back to original firmware, this works every time.
Option 2 - Manually hex-edit your drive key into your modified firmware and flash that firmware. This seems to have a pretty good success rate.
Now this error can stem from routine updates or the cheaply made flash chip, just failing. So you may have to install a new dvd drive at some point…
That all said, it could also be stemmed with your hard drive, which is specifically why I included this video to show you exactly what the symptoms are. If the problem is your hard drive, it could be due to a dead hard drive =(…
Now, I haven’t tried this as much, as I really don’t mind opening an xbox 360 and fixing the problem myself. However, for those who are a little worried about the process, or are looking for a quick fix. This might just be the trick. Rave reviews on Youtube!
This is a video to help with troubleshooting the E66 Error Code. Due to Youtube’s pretty gay Copyright deleting lately, they’ve removed the audio. However, the video is mostly text based, and value can still be gained… Just put on some heavy techno music in the bg or something…
